New Advocate Training
A pre-service training program is offered throughout the year. Our training course is 30 hours with a curriculum consisting of key concepts and practical skills such as:
- roles and responsibilities
- confidentiality
- the law
- child protection system
- the courts
- CASA Home Study/Assessment
- cultural awareness
- communications
- child development
- interviewing
- fact finding and court reports
- cultural competency
